Understanding and Preventing Sexual Harassment

1.5 CEUs. This course will take approximately 1.5 hours to complete. Many counselor ethic violations fall into the sexual harassment category. This training provides learners with the knowledge to discern what is, and what is not, sexual harassment, distinguish the different types of sexual harassment, follow reporting procedures if they experience or witness sexual harassment and understand the steps the company, DHCS and the certifying agency may take when an allegation of sexual harassment is made. For training compliance with SB 1343 Sexual Harassment and Abusive Conduct Prevention, one hour is required for all staff and two hours for supervisors bi-annually.

After completing this course, you will be able to:

  • Discern what is (and what is not) sexual harassment.
  • Distinguish between the different types of sexual harassment.
  • Follow reporting procedures if you experience or witness sexual harassment.
  • Understand the steps your company may take when an allegation of sexual harassment is made.
